The Hills Christian Community School (HILLS) is a co-educational, non-denominational Christian School, for Reception to Year 12 students. Our ELC – Year 12 Campus is situated on picturesque grounds at Verdun, which is only minutes away from the South-Eastern Freeway and 5 minutes from Hahndorf.

The engaging learning environment on both campuses promotes curiosity, discovery and independence with respectful relationships being developed between the staff and students.

Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Qualified Educator

The Hills Christian Community School is seeking an enthusiastic personto take on a role as a Qualified Educator in our OSHC commencing Monday 6th May 2024. The OSHC sessions include mornings from 7:00-9:00 am and the afternoon from 3:006:00 pm, and school Vacation Care.

Casual Position: OSHC qualified educator General Staff, OSHC Grade 2:-

  • 39 weeks of School Term time per annum with a minimum of 10 hours per week
  • 11 weeks of Vacation Care,
  • Hours negotiated with the OSHC Director.
  • Pay scale of $45.22 – $47.19 per hour based upon relative experience.

 
HILLS is seeking a suitably experienced and enthusiastic applicant to undertake the role OSHC Qualified Educator. This position will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the OSHC program. The successful applicant would work under the supervision of the OSHC Director to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and engagement of children participating in the program. This position requires a nurturing, responsible individual with a passion for working with children and a commitment to promoting a positive, safe and inclusive environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Qualified Educator must have:

  • Hold, or be working towards, a qualification that meets ACECQA’s minimum standards to be classified as a qualified educator (Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent) ·
  • current Working with Children Check
  • current Reporting Abuse and Neglect training
  • current HLTAID012 “Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting” First Aid training.
  • current Drivers Licence

    Grounds and Maintenance

    The Hills Christian Community School is seeking an enthusiastic person to take on a role within our Grounds & Maintenance team commencing Monday 27th May 2024. This position runs to the 31st December 2024 with a view to permanency based on performance and the ongoing needs of the School.

    • Full Time Contact Position commencing 27th May 2024
    • Demonstrated knowledge of garden & plant systems
    • Cert 3 in Horticulture or a trade desirable 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    These qualifications/certificates are required prior to commencing employment at HILLS and must be updated for the duration of employments at HILLS (please provide copy with application):

    • Certificate 3 in Horticulture qualifications, or a trade are preferable
    • Current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
    • Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect Certificate (RRHAN-EC)
    • Current First Aid Certificate
    • Current Driver’s Licence
